Ghosts, ghouls, witches and all things scary—2017 marks the 28th year we celebrate the Sea Witch® Festival in downtown Rehoboth and Dewey Beach.  Hosted by the Rehoboth Beach—Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, the festival is THIS WEEKEND OCTOBER 27—29. This family-friendly, mega-event features children’s bike races on the boardwalk, train rides for the youngest in Grove Park, movies, face-painting and carnival-style games at the YMCA, pony rides, magic shows, treasure hunts, and old fashion games on the beach.

Festivities also include a haunted graveyard and spooky bonfire with a DJ, dancing, ghost story teller, snacks, refreshments and fun for all ages on the sand in Dewey Beach.  Families can enjoy additional activities such as scarecrow making, hayrides, a 5K and Fright Walk and official Sea Witch®  treats such as the Official Crab Cake from Woody’s Dewey Beach Bar & Grill or the Official Ice Cream from The Ice Cream Store.

The highlight of the weekend is the Halloween & Fiddlers’ Festival®  Costume Parade where the Sea Witch®  herself makes an appearance.  There are thousands of costumed participants and entertainment by local bands and the Woodland String Band mummers—to be aired live on WRDE NBC Coast TV.  The fun doesn’t end on Saturday, as a must-see on Sunday is the Best Costumed Dog Parade for a day of laughs and frights.
