The Rehoboth Art League is a non-profit arts center, located in Henlopen Acres, Delaware, which contains five gallery spaces on its historic 3.5 acre facility which includes the Peter Marsh Home (The Homestead), a historic home built in 1743.<\/p>\n

Colonel Corkran, an architect and his wife, an artist and a member of the founding artist group purchased 200 acres that used to operate as a plantation, which is now known as Henlopen Acres.\u00a0 He gave the artist group two full acres, helped supervise the transport of the William Paynter Farmhouse from Lewes to its new location and set about renovating the building whenever possible, using materials from other condemned buildings of the same period.\u00a0 The Peter Marsh Homestead contains colonial furniture, artifacts and functional art collected by the Corkran\u2019s when they resided in the historic home from 1929 to 1974. The Rehoboth Art League has committed to retain these items to provide education on the early days of the Rehoboth Art League and its Founders.<\/p>\n

For almost a century, the Art League has carried on the founders\u2019 mission of inspiring, educating, and engaging the community, and has provided a place where the arts and culture have thrived. The Rehoboth Art League offers classes in drawing, painting, watercolor, ceramics, photography, as well as ongoing open studios and more for adults, teens, and children. Classes are conveniently offered in the morning, afternoon and evening and even on the weekends. The instructors are professional artists and experienced teachers who mentor students to develop a diverse set of skills that foster imagination and creativity.\u00a0 (Source: RAL)<\/i><\/p>\n
